Today I drove to work then went to my parents' house in Seattle to spend the night. I am borrowing their banquet table for our garage sale on Saturday, so had to drive in to pick it up, and instead of driving all the way back home just to go right back to Seattle for work the next morning, I just spent the night at their house. Mom invited their neighbor (and our dear friend) Annie over to join us for dinner.

Bleu waits for me to get home every night, usually in our closet, where I give her lovin' as I'm getting changed out my work clothes.

Jody's:

I surprised Riley with the new Artemis Fowl book. It was delivered by mail while I was at work, and he was halfway through it by the time I got home that night.

Riley took a bite out of his bread at dinner and thought this looked like a rat! Wonder what we could fetch off e-Bay for this ...

Jody's:

The Gig Harbor Arts Festival is this weekend! Lots of booths of handmade crafts, jewelry and artwork.

Riley asked me to take my camera to work to take some pictures of my office, so this is a picture of my desk. If you look closely you can see a bunch of gouges in the wall in front, caused by the ping pong players! Some folks wheel out a ping pong table during their lunch hour and play right in front of my desk.

Jody's:

The family of "demon deer", as Riley called them. We came home from our nightly walk and found these 4 big guys in our back yard. This is the only picture I took using the flash, and the result was glowing eyes!

A neighbor at the end of the road, down by the beach, just put in this beautiful waterfall and a cute little bench out by the street. A great place to sit and relax on our walk down to the beach!

Happy Independence Day! We had a wonderfully relaxing day! The evening started off with a fab feast of BBQ hamburgers a la Eddie, sweet potato fries and watermelon. We played with sparklers on the deck then watched the wonderful fireworks show all around us, including Tacoma's and the best one ever over on Vashon Island.
