Jody's:

Early morning view of Seattle from my old childhood bedroom (well, from one of them - we were always swapping rooms as kids).

My childhood home (with Mom on the porch, Dad in the driveway). The folks have lived in this house for about 55 years!

It was good to get back home to my family - here's Riley (headless) giving Bleu some love.

Gorgeous clouds tonight!

Jody's:

Today I drove to work then went to my parents' house in Seattle to spend the night. I am borrowing their banquet table for our garage sale on Saturday, so had to drive in to pick it up, and instead of driving all the way back home just to go right back to Seattle for work the next morning, I just spent the night at their house. Mom invited their neighbor (and our dear friend) Annie over to join us for dinner.

Me and Annie on Mom and Dad's back deck (that's Lake Washington in the background). Annie turns 95 years old on Saturday - Happy, Happy Birthday, dear Annie!

My dad, Buzz, tinkering in his shop.

Bleu waits for me to get home every night, usually in our closet, where I give her lovin' as I'm getting changed out my work clothes.

I surprised Riley with the new Artemis Fowl book. It was delivered by mail while I was at work, and he was halfway through it by the time I got home that night.

Riley took a bite out of his bread at dinner and thought this looked like a rat! Wonder what we could fetch off e-Bay for this ...

The Gig Harbor Arts Festival is this weekend! Lots of booths of handmade crafts, jewelry and artwork.

Our neighbor's band, playing at the Arts Festival.

Riley and his friend Dylan, listening to the music. Dylan's dad is the guy in the center of the above pic.

Jody's:

Riley asked me to take my camera to work to take some pictures of my office, so this is a picture of my desk. If you look closely you can see a bunch of gouges in the wall in front, caused by the ping pong players! Some folks wheel out a ping pong table during their lunch hour and play right in front of my desk.

Jody's:

The family of "demon deer", as Riley called them. We came home from our nightly walk and found these 4 big guys in our back yard. This is the only picture I took using the flash, and the result was glowing eyes!

From the ferry, as it's leaving Vashon Island to take me home from my work day in the big city.

Jody's:

The beginning of yet another beautiful day here in Gig Harbor, WA. You can see the silhouette of the Cascade Mountains against the clouds.

Bleu's hind quarters as she relaxes out on the deck.

The ice cream maker in action.

Happy Birthday to me!! Homemade carrot cake and vanilla ice cream! Burp!

A neighbor at the end of the road, down by the beach, just put in this beautiful waterfall and a cute little bench out by the street. A great place to sit and relax on our walk down to the beach!

Happy Independence Day! We had a wonderfully relaxing day! The evening started off with a fab feast of BBQ hamburgers a la Eddie, sweet potato fries and watermelon. We played with sparklers on the deck then watched the wonderful fireworks show all around us, including Tacoma's and the best one ever over on Vashon Island.

Fun with sparklers!

Z for Zumwalt!

A massive Pirate ship I saw cruising down the channel. Compare its size with the tiny speed boat!
