Riley and I took a walk across the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge today. We made it about a third of the way across before deciding to turn back. The speeding traffic on one side and the huge drop to the water on the other side was a bit much for both of us!

Jody's:

A strange phenomenon: There was a strange rush of odd colored water slowly making its way from Tacoma up through the channel. I went down to the beach to investigate and it was a very strong current, the water was running like a river agains the "normal" water. My guess is that it was run off from melting snow in the mountains, rushing from the rivers into Puget Sound. I may never know what it actually was ...

I had such a busy day today that I didn't get a chance to take any photos, so I'm using a photo I took last night when we were in downtown Seattle. There's an awesome sculpture park along the waterfront and this was one of the sculptures I liked - a revolving ampersand symbol - next to a beautiful cherry tree
